IT Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities Essential Duties Develops and drives a high level Quality Assurance team vision and strategy, as well as takes a hands on approach to implementing them. Manages department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs, resource allocations, and staffing. Manages and responds to software quality assurance issues with related groups such as development, data management, integration, and customer support. Leads the development, documentation, and implementation of Quality Assurance processes and procedures to provide effective quality methods and deliverables. Ensures delivery against Quality Assurance department goals and objectives. Works with project managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for Quality Assurance related efforts and ensures effective interworking with the Project Management Life Cycle Methodology. Plans, organizes, and monitors the execution of the work assignments for the Quality Assurance Team. Creates, implements, maintains, and enhances test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of software systems and compliance with software and system specifications. Develops software quality test plans and test cases, and leads in setting and maintaining the standards for software quality assurance test documentation. Designs, implements, and maintains comprehensive test plans to ensure that software requirements are met. Develops and manages quality assurance metrics for the performance improvement of all Quality Assurance teams. Provides routine reporting on team performance metrics. Maintains a high degree of error free programs, procedures, systems, and documentation on all software releases. Guides the creation of comprehensive test scenarios that ensure thorough testing. Assures the viability, functionality and effectiveness of essential Quality Assurance tools. Provides technical review of the planning and execution of product testing efforts. Establishes approaches to identify and analyze defects and test results and the deduction of the chain of events leading to a failure. Identifies areas for testing improvement through analysis, experience, and use of metrics. Remains current on changes and new developments on new and existing software applications and releases. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with peers in software development, product development, project management, business analysis, and business relationship management. Coaches the communication of critical issues and status updates in a timely manner. Educates peers and subordinates on the Quality Assurance process and provides day to day guidance. Directly supervises quality assurance team leads including the preparation and delivery of performance evaluations and career development activities. Provides coaching and guidance to the Quality Assurance Team on best practices. Qualifications Qualifications: Education Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience. Specialty: Computer science, management information systems, or a related field. (Required) Experience 3 or more years Quality assurance management. (Required) 2 or more years Software development. (Preferred) 10 or more years Software quality assurance. (Required) 10 or more years Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools. Proven using QA tools, packages, and methodologies. Expert knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of quality assurance testing and the ability to apply knowledge and skills to a range of professional assignments. Proven track record of success building, leading, and managing a functional and technical QA team with a strong sense of quality ownership. Working knowledge of multiple project delivery types (e.g. custom, Agile delivery, platforms, upgrades, package implementation, configurations, web, etc.). Strong documentation and verbal communication skills. Ability to represent the company in a positive and professional manner. Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner. Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must. Desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability. Strong analytical skills and with implementation and administration of software quality assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry or exit criteria. Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication. Sense of urgency necessary to meet goals, objectives and deadlines. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
